Worries have surfaced among SHIB advocates following a Thursday announcement that an inactive Shiba Inu whale has started to take action again. According to the data, this individual who was an early investor in Shiba Inu had not been active for 157 days.
SpotOnChain, a premier blockchain analysis supplier, reported a noteworthy discovery recently. It seems that a whale has relocated an immense number of SHIB tokens (over 4 trillion) to multiple addresses in the span of a single day after coming back to life.
The Etherscan, a source of data, supports the assertion that a wealthy Shiba Inu holder moved a large amount of SHIB tokens. It is reported that the individual transferred 4T SHIB tokens, with a value of over $30 million, to nine new wallets.
At 8:40 AM (UTC) on Jul. 12, the unknown whale began their activity with a relatively small exchange of 107 SHIB to a specific address. Following this, they quickly transferred 500 billion Shiba Inu tokens in multiple segments to eight different addresses.
The first four transactions happened on Jul. 12, while the remaining five SHIB token transfers were carried out on a different day.
The whale wallet still has an impressive 6.2 trillion SHIB following these large transactions. Spotonchain noted that the wealthy investor has an impressive amount of 100 trillion SHIB spread out among several wallets.
On Feb. 5, a Coinbase address sent about 7,050 Shiba Inu tokens to the whale address, which is the last Shiba Inu transaction that took place there.
The whale moved a total of 20 trillion SHIB to an exchange on Nov. 9, dividing the amount into two separate transactions according to Etherscan records. Previously, it had already transferred 229,287 SHIB to the same exchange.
It is important to recognize that this whale was one of the first people to invest in SHIB. In 2020, he spent 37.81 ETH (valued at $12,500) and received a huge amount of 103 trillion SHIB tokens in return.
In July 2021, a large investor, referred to as a whale, was able to make an estimated $18.49 million from trading SHIB tokens. Spotonchain data showed that the whale bought and sold around 1.9 trillion SHIB tokens on multiple exchanges, such as Binance, Coinbase, and MEXC, at an average rate of $0.00000969 per token during the SHIB price pump.
Lookonchain, a high-profile analytics platform, reported that a whale purchased 2,411 ETH in 2021 using 603B SHIB tokens. Additionally, this whale transferred 1.25T SHIB worth $8.77M to Coinbase in the same year.
Investors are hypothesizing that the whale could potentially unload the 4 trillion SHIB that have been moved into the market. At the present time, though, the tokens are still in the whale's possession. If the coins are sold, it could have a negative effect on the cost of SHIB.
